Creative healing sessions for women offer a gentle, transpersonal approach to rediscovering your inner wisdom - through intuitive art, symbolism, and soul reflection.

Gentle pathways to reconnect with your inner light through art, reflection and soul.

You are so much more than you imagine!

Q and A about Creative Healing Sessions

I work with the transpersonal - that means we acknowledge the connection of mind, body and spirit - and that our past experiences can be influencing us in the present.
Most people live in the remembered past or the projected future (worrying) rather than in the present.

Who are these creative healing sessions for?

These sessions are designed especially for women who are already on a reflective or spiritual path and are ready to deepen their inner understanding through creativity. Many women who come to this work are drawn to gentle, soulful ways of reconnecting with intuition, emotional balance, and inner wisdom; heal old emotional patterns, or rediscover joy after times of transition or loss.
They are often between 35–60 years, value self-growth, and appreciate a gentle, soul-centred space where art and reflection meet.
It’s a space for those who sense that their inner world reflects their outer world, and wish to bring both into harmony.

Do I need to be “good at art” to benefit from these sessions?

Not at all. These are not art classes nor clinical therapy sessions. You don’t need artistic skill - only a willingness and curiosity to explore.
The focus is on expression rather than perfection, using intuitive drawing, gentle inner journeying, gentle writing, colour, and symbolism as tools for insight.
Many women discover that art/symbols/writing becomes a language of the soul, helping you listen to your heart’s quiet messages.

What happens in a creative healing session?

Each session offers a blend of intuitive art processes, inner journeying, quiet reflection, and soulful inner dialogue with parts work. You might also explore or reflect on symbols and archetypes that emerge if you have a studio session.
The process is held in a compassionate, confidential space - either online or in person in the Blue Mountains.

How are these sessions different from regular counselling or therapy?

While my background includes transpersonal art therapy and counselling, these sessions are not clinical sessions.
They are creative and spiritual experiences — a sacred meeting place between art, heart, and soul.
Rather than analysing, we explore symbolism, creativity, and intuitive awareness what your inner self wishes to reveal. THis may be revealed through art, metaphor, creative visioning and mindful awareness, without diagnosing or analysing.

Can children or teenagers attend?

Occasionally, yes. (See also video at bottom of page.)
If a child or young teen is in need of creative emotional support after change, grief, or stress, I offer gentle one-off sessions with parental consent and involvement and offered case-by-case.
The focus is on expression, calm self-awareness, and emotional understanding, not clinical treatment.
Creative therapies help to share what is bothering them when words are not enough.
Online or studio.
No benefits are applicable, so please contact your GP if you wish to work with a psychologist.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are offered online and occasionally in person in the Blue Mountains region (NSW, Australia).
The online format allows connection from across Australia to join from the comfort of their home, whilst still receiving a personal and intuitive experience. The sessions are just as powerful online.

How often should I attend?

These are occasional or seasonal sessions, not ongoing weekly therapy.
Some women attend a single deep-dive session for clarity or renewal, while others return at times of transition.
Each rhythm is guided by your own intuition and needs - honouring the natural ebb and flow of your own spiritual journey.

What outcomes can I expect?

You may notice greater self-understanding, inner calm, an increase in confidence or re-connection with self-trust.
Through creative process and reflection, healing unfolds softly — often bringing new understanding of the inner child, emotional healing, and joy as a living practice.

Explore the Power of Creativity with Art and Sandplay Therapy and gentle Inner Journeying to access your inner world

About the processes/therapies

that I use for art, heart and soul (inner spirit and inner child healing)

Our inner world reflects in our outer experience.

Creative processes help to access our inner world and gain insight or inspiration.

A favourite mantra is 'Peace begins with me'. We begin with ourselves in order to find peace within.

Art and Creative Processes

Art provides a safe way to express feelings and thoughts using a range of art materials, with no prior art experience needed. The focus is on the process of creation, not on producing a final product.

Sometimes, it is just a pencil interpretation of what was experienced during a gentle journeying process. This expressive approach supports emotional regulation, self-awareness, and self-esteem and can also facilitate many 'aha' moments.

Art and Creative Processes easily work online and are used in art workshops.

For online sessions or workshops all you need are some simple art tools - paper, felt pens, crayons, writing tools - and be seated in a way that we can both hear each other clearly and privately in a quiet space.

Shamanic Visual Journeying and Mindfulness

Visual journeying is a powerful tool accessing both the inner spirit and the imagination.
It's benefits are determined by the context and the intention. For individual shamanic journeying, there can be inner healing benefits and a re-gathering or restoration of parts of the soul.

Visual journeying in group work can help to provide personal insight or support, or stimulate lateral thinking and problem solving. It also provides a calming and meditative space. I often use it in creative workshops.

Sandplay Therapy (aka Sand Tray)

When words are not enough, Sandplay aka Sand Tray or pictures in the sand, offers a holistic approach to gaining insight and possibilities. Sandplay is not just for children. For WOMEN Sandplay becomes a conversation using the sand and miniatures which can provide insight and 'ahah' and inner healing moments.
Sandplay also facilitates imagination and lateral thinking.

Traditionally a rectangular tray with blue painted sides and floor filled with sand is the foundational base. But other containers can be round, or anything that becomes suitable. The sand provides a sensory connection that can be supportive or helpful for calming.

Personally, I now prefer using circular trays as they connect mandala qualities and help with storytelling.

The inner world may feel confused. It may show fear or grief. It may show joy and love. It may show something entirely different such as a wish or longing to be seen as themselves. It is a powerful tool to help self regulation and can be calming if you have

no idea what is affecting or upsetting you. A picture in the sand often unveils or reveals what you have hidden from yourself in a gentle and safe way.
