Children’s Creative Classes (Coming Soon)
Karen Curran - owner of The Heart of Us - will soon offer small, online creative classes for children and young teens. These sessions are a calm and welcoming space to explore art and story in a gentle way - where imagination, curiosity, and quiet expression are all valued.

ABOUT ONLINE CLASSES
Children may draw, write, or simply sit and take part in their own way. Without pressure to speak, share, or perform. This space is especially supportive for those who are shy, sensitive, or neurodivergent, and who may feel more comfortable observing or working quietly.
Each class is guided by a simple theme - a small doorway into imagination - helping children discover something positive, thoughtful, or encouraging within themselves.
AGE GROUPS
Primary: 9–12 years (Grades 4-6)
High School: 12–15 years (Grades 7-10)
Classes are planned for after-school Sydney time.
Each class must have min number of 5 students to begin.
ART MATERIALS
Most children will have the necessary art materials, but for those who do not have access to any, or who
live out of city areas, an art kit will soon be available by post as an optional extra.
IMPORTANT - A Note for Parents and Carers
A parent or carer is required to log in for their child.
You are very welcome to remain nearby or in the background if that feels supportive.
I know that often younger siblings want to partake in older sibling activities - especially if it involves drawing. So, if younger siblings are present, that is perfectly fine, as long as sound remains muted so the space stays calm for all participants.
But only the enrolled child is the one to participate either by voice or chat during the Zoom class.
INTENTION
This is not about being “good at art”. It is about:exploring creativity in a relaxed and open way, finding small moments of confidence and self-trust, allowing space for thoughts and feelings to be expressed gently.
